Sharon Kay's Story
Life
On Classmates to find old friends and check into any possible reunions. I haven't been to one yet and thought I would this time. I live in Weatherford, which is about 25 miles west of Ft Worth. I am a teacher...yep, a teacher, for all those who knew me as the mouthy class clown. I LOVE IT. I love teaching. It is a not merely a profession but a passion and a wonderful treat to teach others who are just like I was. I also love being able to go back to see Amarillo a few times a year. I am a widow of about 6 1/2 yrs, my husband, John, was ill for several years due to Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam. He went to be with the Lord June 10, 2001, three weeks before our 21st anniversary. I moved down here to start over. I still drive up to Indianapolis once or twice a year to see friends and family. I have been in touch with a few people from Amarillo but there are still some I would love to hear from. Lots of catching up to do.
I have 2 grown sons, 1 great daughter-in-law and 2 beautiful grand daughters...so far. I worked in Business Management and Real Estate Brokering for...Expand for more
several years. I got tired of the corporate world and switched to Teaching. Please feel free to email me through the Classmates website, I check it pretty regularly. I am trying to locate some yearbooks from about 69 to 72 at River Road and 72-75 from Canyon, along with some photos from those years. I still enjoy good music, LOTS of laughs with friends and meeting new people. I mentor and and have a tutoring business to tutor children, teens and adults in various areas. I have worked extensively in the education arena throughout the years.
As I mentioned, I travel to Amarillo periodically and would love to talk with old friends while I'm there. I first have to find them. I always try to remember to: LOL (Laugh Out Loud) and thank GOD for all the good things HE has done in my life over the years. GOD Bless you and yours. Sharon.
School
Biggest crush...he knows, I think he lives in Louisiana now. Mrs. Gann from San Jacinto elementary, Mr. Stone from River Road, Mrs. Graham and Mr. Kent from Canyon are the ones that stand out as the most influencial teachers in my journey.
